Yorkshire wedding venues - Rachel and Joe’s natural wedding at Left Bank Leeds

Hello all! I’m so excited to bring you the details of this stunning natural wedding between Rachel and Joe, held at the Yorkshire wedding venue Left Bank. It was so much fun working with Rachel and Joe at this unique Leeds wedding venue, we just had to share.

The details

Colour is always our starting point as it’s an essential part of any wedding celebration. Not only does it help create a beautiful atmosphere, but it also sets the tone for the entire event. Choosing the right colour palette for your wedding flowers brings out the best in your wedding venue decoration and makes your special day even more memorable.

Rachel & Joe went for a natural wedding theme with a contemporary twist, burnt orange was the main colour along with burgundy, reflex blue and a little bit of dusky pink. With our expert guidance, together we create the perfect look and feel for your wedding flowers, using our careful consideration and thoughtful seasonal selection, we will ensure that your wedding flowers and event styling always convey a beautiful atmosphere for your special day.

The venue - Left Bank Leeds

Left Bank is a unique Leeds wedding venue that sets itself apart from most Yorkshire wedding venues, having previously been a church, it’s a wonderfully versatile space in the way that it can be transformed to suit a multitude of wedding styles, whether it be striking elegance, natural contemporary or a boho rustic chic affair. The exposed brick walls, large sweeping pillars and backlighting from the huge elaborate glass windows provide a beautiful warm setting for ceremonies and receptions.

Floral installations & wedding venue decoration

We created a multitude of large-scale floral installations for Rachel & Joe at their Leeds wedding venue such as, “growing” designs around the base of each pillar, a hanging design from the top of the pulpit, and decorated the tables with props from our exclusive styling catalogue.

The floral installation designs sat at the base of each pillar and created the illusion of flowers growing upwards, framing the venue as you entered, greeting guests with a menagerie of florals, and a feast for the eyes.

Speeches were given by both Rachel & Joe, so the hanging design for the pulpit was the perfect large-scale design to achieve their joint vision. Ambient low-level lighting from the windows created a moody atmosphere and additional event styling details such as peach, pale blue, and terracotta candles in our brass candlesticks was hired and added to the guest tables to tie everything together cohesively.

On the day

We have said it before and we’ll say it again! Delivering wedding flowers to our brides on the morning of the big day is an absolutely unforgettable experience. It’s a moment filled with joy, anticipation and excitement. Seeing our bride’s face light up when she sees the beautiful arrangements we have created for her special day is something that always stays with us. Being able to bring so much beauty into someone’s life on such an important day is a feeling like no other. Danni, of Maytree Photography, our fellow wedding industry colleague and long-time friend was Rachel and Joe’s photographer, she took absolutely exquisite photos of their big day and was there to capture every beautiful moment shared.

Rachel decided on a wild and asymmetric bridal bouquet with lots of textures that featured British-grown seasonal blooms with a few scented florals and a pretty “just picked” flower crown to match. Her bridesmaids had similar designed arrangements fitting with the colour scheme of burgundy, blues, and peaches.

Massive shout out to Maytree Photography for always providing such stunning photos.
