Your setting and location

Super important in terms of planning as we’ll need to know the kind of space we are designing for in order to create the kind of outstanding and memorable florals you’ll love.

The right setting and location can help you create the atmosphere that you want for your special day, from the perfect outdoor venue to the most romantic indoor space, there are endless possibilities when it comes to choosing a setting and location for your luxury wedding. Consider factors such as the number of guests, budget, style of ceremony, and weather conditions when selecting a setting and location for your big day.

Whether we've designed there before or not, with our wealth of experience, we always curate perfectly designed floral installations for your space. With our stylish sixth sense, we know just how to create the perfect atmosphere for your luxury wedding flowers, ensuring that it will be an unforgettable experience for you and your guests.

What do you want to spend?

This can sometimes be a bit of a tricky one, but we highly recommend you have an idea of what you’d like to spend before you talk to us, that way we can help you realise your hopes and expectations. As a rough idea, most wedding planners allocate a minimum of 10% of the overall budget for florals plus another 5-10% for styling. However, you'll find heaps of super helpful info on budgeting for your wedding flowers in our other journal posts, and, if you’re looking for specifics, check out our advice post on How to Budget for Wedding Flowers.

Budgeting is a key factor to consider when planning a wedding, so, whether you’re looking for a super-stylish luxury wedding, a bringing-the-outside-in rustic-style wedding, or something in between; it’s important to plan ahead and set aside enough of your budget for all the essential elements. Allocating your budget in advance, and always having a contingency, will help ensure that everything goes smoothly and that you don’t find any hiccups or disappointments along the way.

Your style and colour palette

Your vibe and floral/foliage preferences - likes and dislikes! When it comes to wedding flowers, style and colour palette can be one of the most important elements to consider. You might be planning a luxury wedding with classic roses and peonies or perhaps a natural wedding in Yorkshire with wildflowers, whatever you choose, the right style and colour palette will help create an unforgettable atmosphere for your special day.

If you’re more of a visual person, then curating a Pinterest mood board of textures, colours and specific flowers that you love, is definitely one of our top five things you’ll need to know before booking your luxury wedding consultation with us. During the consultation process, having an idea of your vision is a fantastic advantage as we can really get a feel for the vibe and theme you’re looking for in your wedding. How many do you need?

A rough guide for bouquets, buttonholes, guest tables, installations, and how many of each is pretty much essential at this stage.

Thinking about your wedding flowers is an important part of the wedding preparations, and it's important to consider the numbers when making your decisions. From the number of guests to the size of your venue, there are a variety of factors that can affect the volume of flowers and styling you’ll need.

So, for us, it’s super important to know your initial thoughts and ideas and how many of each you’ll need!

Order of the day

Another point we’ll need to know before booking your luxury wedding consultation is when and where you are getting married so we can work around your ceremony time, particularly if you are having floral installations that are to be repurposed and then moved.

Because we work sustainably, we will repurpose as many of your arrangements and florals as possible. We aim for two uses for most designs but are happiest if we can get three uses! Above all else, we want to surpass all of your expectations with our one-of-a-kind arrangements and carefully thought-out, curated wedding venue decoration. So knowing when, for instance, your church ceremony takes place is pretty essential information for us to work out if it’s possible to re-use your designs.
