A rustic Tipi wedding

Amber and Billy wanted their wedding to be a reflection of their love for nature and the great outdoors. That's why they chose Heathy Lea, Derbyshire, as the setting for their tipi wedding. The charm of the countryside with stunning views, nestled amongst the beautiful Chatsworth Estate Park provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

Summer is the perfect time to host a tipi wedding as they are an ideal way to get married outdoors in a natural, rural setting. From the stunning views of rolling hillsides to the unique, soft ambient lighting and atmosphere of a tipi wedding, they offer something special for couples who want to celebrate in an unforgettable way.

With their growing popularity, more and more couples are choosing venues that have the space to accommodate a rustic tipi wedding, and Heathy Lea, really is the most perfect place for a beautiful Derbyshire Wedding.

Personal Touches

Amber and Billy's wedding was made extra special with the addition of personal touches such as embroidered socks for the groomsmen and personalised Converse shoes for the bride squad. These unique items allowed the couple to express their personalities in a truly fun and creative way. Not only did they add a really thoughtful touch to the event, but they also provided guests with heartfelt keepsakes that they could then cherish for years to come.

Really, the special additions that we see from our couples probably deserve their own journal feature, so keep an eye out soon for a post that features all the wacky and wonderful personal touches we have seen at Derbyshire weddings and why we adore our couples so much.

Floral Installations

Amber and Billy decided on a few large-scale floral installations for their rustic tipi wedding. The ‘growing’ garland that we designed above the Summer House created a soft and natural atmosphere for the ceremony part of the day and the vibrant colours of the flowers worked beautifully against the ‘Chatsworth Blue’ paintwork too - the signature colour of the Estate belonging to the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire. The majority of the flowers we used were sourced from our local flower growers and featured an abundance of wildflowers, soft, delicate foliage, and, of course, Amber’s beloved sunflowers.

We finished this off by balancing the high design with two ‘growing’ floor designs, on either side of the Summer House, to frame the couple during their wedding vows and, of course, when they signed their register too. These designs were moved following the ceremony and placed a the entrance to the tipi to welcome guests to their reception.

For the tipi, we created a huge hoop which acted as the perfect focal point and hung just a little way in front of the top table. This design used similar materials to the Summer House installation, with the addition of dried materials to add volume, shape and … dare I say it, a little drama to the design!

Large-scale floral installations are a fantastic way to add a unique and memorable touch to any wedding. Not only do they look stunning, but they can also be utilised to create an atmosphere of romance and elegance that will make your big day truly unforgettable. From cascading garlands of greenery to towering pillars of blooms, there are so many ways that you can use large-scale floral installations to make your luxury wedding super impactful. Whether you're looking for something subtle or something more extravagant, we can ensure that they are tailored to suit your style, colour palette and fit perfectly within the venue.

Ceremony Flowers

As you probably already know, one of the things core principles of Campbell’s is sustainability and minimising waste by reusing and re-purposing. Unusually, for us, once we’d completed all the floral installations, we noticed we still had some sunflowers left over.

So, to add just an extra touch of beauty to the ceremony flowers, we decided to tie these sunflowers onto the chairs as a surprise for Amber, Billy, and their guests.

Always striving to exceed expectations, we believed our idea would surprise our couple and their guests with something unexpected and thoughtful, and it did - everyone was thrilled. Just another reason why we absolutely love what we do - we will always see opportunities for ceremony flowers!
